what do we do at TECH&LAW?
In short and to the point – this is the Legal Tech department of the Robus, a department that has been leading the field of legal technologies in Israel since 2015. Tech&Law is the representative of the State of Israel in the European Legal Tech Association and represents the legal tech sector in the State of Israel in many international forums.
It is no secret that numerous law firms in Israel use – at best – outdated technology which does not answer to the constantly changing needs of the legal world. According to research provided by the legal tech company CLIO in 2017, lawyers use only 29% (!) of their time handling billable tasks. This means that theoretically, 70% of a lawyer’s time isn’t paid for nor does it create real value for the client or the firm.
We aim to fix this by offering a variety of optimization services to law firms, accountant firms and in-house legal departments. To do so we offer the following:
Accompanying law firms in the field of LegalTech
Offering a comprehensive and integrated LegalTech service is essential for law firms aiming to provide efficient and innovative legal services to their clients. Our department identifies gaps in legal operations, sources appropriate solutions, and facilitates the implementation of LegalTech tools. We also connect law firms with LegalTech providers through proof-of-concept (POC) projects and assist with the development and deployment of in-house technologies. This service, provided by the law firm’s Chief Innovation Officer, ensures that the firm is equipped to address the technological challenges of the information age.
Implementing technological solutions
Providing support to various organizations in adopting and implementing innovative technological solutions. This involves assessing existing processes (including current technological infrastructure, identifying gaps, and understanding needs), finding suitable legal-tech solutions, and guiding clients through the implementation process. The implementation process includes training on how to maximize the efficiency of the new technology within the firm’s workflow.
Accompanying LegalTech companies
We provide comprehensive support to Israeli and international LegalTech companies, helping them enter new markets, raise capital, and connect with law firms and in-house legal departments. We also assist in developing effective business models, marketing strategies, and pricing structures to drive growth and innovation.
Lectures and training in attorney's offices
We deliver lectures and workshops on Legal Tech to law firms and innovation hubs in Israel, fostering a deeper understanding of advanced technologies, legal frameworks, and professional ethics in this field. This in-depth knowledge enhances the quality and speed of legal services provided to departments. Additionally, our department organizes Israel’s annual Legal Tech conference, as well as various international conferences in the field, featuring leading global experts and researchers.
